'Harebrained' Pen on Paper |
I had been thinking today about how people have a tendency to be dreamers, we all have things that we want to do with our life yet normally find a way of not realising them. This could be as we don't have enough confidence in our ability to succeed, we may not have the necessary funds or know how, we may have chosen to let go of our dreams as we get older and become more rational or it could just merely be that the idea is just too far fetched to conceivably work. For me I see these harebrained schemes that we formulate as a necessity they help us to distance ourselves from monotony, they give us something to aim for even if we never truly get to where we want to be and most of all they can give us that hope that things can be different. There are also those few instances where it can lead to something extraordinary, if you think back over all the things that man has accomplished at one point or another they were just crackpot ideas floating around the mind of a dreamer. It's important to some times get carried away by our flights of fancy as although there is always that feeling that we shoot for the stars only to fall face first in the dirt, there is always that possibility that we can actually achieve what we've always wanted to... it's only really our own limitations that normally stand in our way.
